Welcome to the first part of my Nordstrom Rack haul!

First of all, I have to acknowledge the sunflower field. HOW COOL!

Michael and I found this near the Denver airport. It's magical.

There were a lot of bees though - not magical. 

Anyway, I didn't purchase a lot of things from Nordstrom Rack, but I did buy a few items that will stay in my closet for a very long time! 

This post is all about my distressed Articles of Society girlfriend jeans in the 'Cindy' wash!

I wasn't planning on purchasing these jeans (actually, I wasn't planning on purchasing anything when I went into Nordstrom Rack, but we all know how that goes...), but I stumbled upon them and knew I couldn't turn away empty handed. I couldn't find my size, so I bought a size up, figuring (HOPING) that they will shrink and my weight typically fluctuates between a 26 and a 27 (2 and 4). 

Nordstrom Rack has many different types of Articles of Society denim right now. However, the 'Cindy' wash was the only pair that suited my ripped jean ideals. The other pairs have less and smaller rips, but I have been wanting jeans with big rips in them - ones that still cover the skin. I'm not crazy about gaping holes in my jeans, haha. I like the look of the strings that cover the holes. It looks very casual, but still put together and very detailed. 

I have to say, however, that I will be getting the waist of these jeans altered in the future. The legs fit me really well, but the waist is way too big. They're not falling off me, but it's definitely too big for comfort. 

I would say stick to your size and if you size up, you might want to get them altered or you may need to wear a belt! 

This issue might just be me, or at least for people with pear shaped body types! I have a very small torso and a large bottom half... haha.

I washed them and they did NOT shrink! This is a good thing if you buy these jeans and they fit you well! 

I love the wash, too. The color is like a rustic blue. These jeans are faded on the front of the legs and the dark blue outlines the outside of the legs. It's very slimming!

I am so glad I finally found an affordable pair of distressed jeans! I have been looking for some cute designer jeans that are affordable and these are IDEAL!
