Fall Florals, Feminine Ruffles, & Distressed Denim

Hey, friends!

I'm excited to share these fun fall pieces with you in today's outfit post.

It feels so good to write again. I took a break from blogging for a while - a little over one year, I think. I haven't been counting.
When I started blogging, I had no idea what I was doing. I felt like I was wandering around a pitch dark room with my hands out in front of me, grabbing for a light switch. I think that's a pretty normal feeling to have when a person dives into a brand new experience. It's uncomfortable though, isn't it?
After a while, I put so much pressure on myself to perform well that I procrastinated all the time and was not consistent in publishing content which makes for a not-so-dependable blog.
I pressured myself and therefore procrastinated so hard because (my fellow perfectionist types know this well) if I don't start anything new, there's no way I can fail at it.

But the caveat to such logic is that I cannot succeed at anything if I never start anything.

So here I am, pressuring myself way less and feeling a lot more carefree and inspired about blogging.

Now let's talk about this edgy & feminine look!

This Bianca Printed Ruffle-Sleeve Top by the brand "Sanctuary" is so romantic. The dramatic ruffles add such a statement to this top, and the white background with the richly colored florals make this top a unique and refreshing fall piece compared to your typical dark fall/winter colors. You can wear it out to brunch, lunch, or dinner, and even entertaining guests at home! It's also a great holiday top to wear on Thanksgiving or even Easter!

Next, this Kendra Scott Elisa Druzy Necklace that I'm wearing is rose gold with a rose gold druzy stone. It's super sparkly when it catches the light, and at the same time, it's the perfect short necklace to wear with anything! I have another one with a beautiful charcoal colored druzy stone and a rose gold chain.

These 7 For All Mankind Ankle Skinny Jeans are an investment, but coming from someone who is price-conscious, they're worth the purchase. Premium denim is high-quality denim that will truly last you for years and still look new. It's stretchy and feels like butter when you slide them on. They are so slenderizing and flattering! It's not very often that I find a pair of "wow" jeans (jeans that make you say "WOW" when someone tries them on!). These, my friend, are the ultimate "wow" jeans. They're foxy and mysterious - two required traits that make for a hot date night! ;-)

I also love how the distressing is a rich black color and contrasts against the faded area in the middle of the legs. I linked a similar, more affordable pair of distressed black denim in the widget below!

Lastly, the shoes... the shoes!!!! I love these peep toe booties by Steve Madden! I bought them back in the spring, so they are sadly unavailable, but I linked two very similar pairs in the widget below.

A good pair of perforated shoes really adds a pop of texture to complete a whole look.

I hope you feel inspired to create your own edgy & feminine outfit!

xoxo,
Chelsea
