First of all, I hope you've had a memorable and fun holiday season! However, I know the holidays aren't always the easiest or fun for everybody. I hope you know that whatever struggles you may have experienced/are experiencing in this season of life, you are valuable beyond measure despite your current circumstances. Just remember that whatever you are going through is only a season even though it may feel like a bottomless pit at the moment.

This Plaid Cowl Neck Poncho is just what you need to stay warm this winter - especially when paired with a white turtleneck underneath!
I haven't worn a poncho in so long. Since I'm petite, my aversion to ponchos is pretty consistent, except for when I found this one. The grey checkered print isn't overwhelming for my frame and neither is the size of it. In the photos, I'm wearing a size XS/S and it's perfect. I think the tassels at the bottom of the poncho really complete the piece.
White jeans seemed to be the prime "bottom" of choice because it makes a very fresh looking outfit. When you add red, the look becomes festive (if you wear it around Thanksgiving and Christmas) and fun!
You could also keep this look more classic and simple by wearing silver or gold shoes and accessories - black booties would look great with this outfit too!
Add a red lip (and nails if you really want to coordinate) and you've got an amazing daytime or nighttime look!
